US Ryder Cup Task Force Selects Davis Love III as Team Captain

Ryder Cup Task Force of America has surprised every observer by selecting Davis Love III as a new captain to lead the team for the forthcoming 41st matches at famous Hazeltine next year.

The 50-year old player led the US to notorious defeat at Medinah in the year of 2012. Therefore, it is highly anticipated that either great Paul Azinger, who successfully ensured the victory of the team in 2008, or Fred Couples, who has also led the team for famous US Presidents Cup successfully, would be ideal candidates for the lead role.

Although, Love was the unanimous suggestion of the US Task Force, he also becomes the 8th man to have led the America’s team more than once. But he has surprisingly been appointed as a new captain to the team.

The PGA further announced alterations to the captain’s selection procedure, along with the existing qualifying process for the US players as well as new leadership for forthcoming Ryder Cups.
The Task Force has also been dissolved with a newly-appointed PGA of US Ryder Cup Committee, which is thoroughly responsible for recognizing future captains as well as vice-captains of the team.
“I’m very excited being the team captain and I ensure that I will do whatever I can to win back the prestigious Ryder Cup,” says Love. “Certainly, it’s a great honor to lead the team to ensure the victory but our journey won’t end here, it will also decide the future teams of US Ryder Cup,” says Love.

The 41st prestigious Ryder Cup is going to be held at famous Hazeltine National Golf Club located in Minnesota from 30th of September to 2nd October, 2016.
