Malaysian Open- Bernd Wiesberger becomes a challenge for Lee Westwood

The results of the third round of Malaysian Open reported that the Australian player, Wiesberger has carded 63 to take a two shot lead at 17 under par. This was held at Kula Lumpur, Malaysia.

29-year old Wiesberger started with three shots. But after that he birdied six of his seven holes and also the last three, Alejandro Canizares, Joint overnight leader was able to become second in the rankings gaining an eagle-birdie-bogey in his 68.

Lee Westwood after the two days is 14 under with the fellow Englishman Paul Waring. According to the records from 2012-2014 of the Malysian Open, in 2014 Lee Westwood who was 18 under was the winner. And in 2013 it was Kiradech Aphibarnrat and in 2012 Louis Ooosthuizen was able to become victorious.

Westwood who has won 14 titles in Asia needed birdies at the final two holes to ensure a sub-70 round at the Kula Lumpur Club last Saturday.

He has expressed his views saying that he didn’t play well on that day and pleased to shoot at 69. Furthermore he says that he couldn’t feel his hip action early on.

It was noted that Lee Westwood was in a good form this year recording three top- six finishes previously to this event. But he has stated that he will able to make some birdies after his lowest round on the European Tour saying that there are many good scores out there.
