Caroline Wozniacki Remains A Star With As Many As 22 WTA Titles Under Her Belt

Caroline Wozniacki is a professional tennis player of Danish origin. Wozniacki holds tennis sensations Marina Hingis and Steffi Graf as her ideals. The WTA Tour held her at no. 1 for a total of 67 weeks in 2010-2011. She became the first Danish player to hold the top position.

Wozniacki was only 14 years old when she bagged the Osaka Mayor's Cup singles. She went on to win several other events at the junior level. Ultimately, the year 2008 saw her recognised as the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Newcomer of the Year. She has held the numero uno position for two seasons without a break, in 2010 and in 2011. She has 22 WTA Tour titles under her belt.

Of late, the star has returned to play a normal game at Wimbledon following a back injury. She is to compete with China's Zheng Saisai, although she still finds herself plagued by her injury. But she still has a couple of days to recover from her injury.

She won the  women's singles final playing the 2009 US Open, but she lost it to Kim Clijsters. Quite soon, she found herself at the top of the world rankings becoming the first ever Danish citizen to do so. A series of successes and failures dot the following years. She even tried her hand at modeling for the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Wozniacki found herself engaged to be married to an Irish golfer, Rory Mcllroy, in January 2014, but it went wrong in May that year. She lives in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
